Kay Saffari is a college Spanish and ESL instructor, medical interpreter, writer, and poet. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky, with her husband, Behnam, and their cat, Rosie. Uno, Dos, Tres Means One, Two, Three! is Kay’s second children’s book.

About the Illustrator

Derek King Jr. is a Lexington, Kentucky artist who uses his art to tell stories of African Americans based on personal experience, current events, and popular culture. Uno, Dos, Tres Means One, Two, Three! is Derek’s second collaboration as a children’s book illustrator.
